Spartan Cheer was able to fulfill our first four-day cheer camp and cheer on our C-level girls basketball team at the championship game! We loved seeing girls from the 2021 and 2022 football cheer season return for camp and welcomed newcomers that we hope to see in the 2023 football cheer season. SPWAA has loved watching your kids grow, learn new skills and build their confidence with us. Registration:

Early Bird Special: May 1- May 15: $220.00
Regular Registration May 16-July 18: $245.00
Late Registration July 19-August 1: $255.00

Required Uniform Fitting: 

• July 19th from 5:30 to 7:30
• Cheerleaders are asked to arrive in bathing suit or gymnastics leotard.
• Parents will receive an email prior to July 19th with more details and information.

Whaling Days Practice: 

• July 26th from 5:30 to 7:30
• Any cheerleader fully registered, and paid, for the 2023 football season is encouraged to attend. 

Whaling Days Parade:

• July 29th Time to be announced.
• Meeting location TBD

Summer Practice: 

• Starting July 31st!
• Monday through Friday- 5:30 to 7:30 pm
• Practice Attire, shall be shorts, properly fitted gym pants, t-shirt, socks and athletic sneakers with proper soles. (Slip on sneakers will not be permitted). Long hair should be pulled back into a ponytail. No spaghetti strap shirts, visible midriffs, or excessively short shorts. Due to safety concerns the athlete cannot wear jewelry, chew gum, wear jeans, a skirt, flip-flops, or dress shoes to practices, games, and events. 
• Practice starts promptly at 5:30pm. Athletes are expected to attend all practices each week in their entirety. If a cheerleader fails to attend at least one practice in any given week, it will be at the discretion of the coach as to whether the athlete will cheer at the upcoming game. Missing continuous practices, arriving late, or leaving early may result in removal from skill-based stunts and/or performances. 

• Practices held on Monday and Wednesday 
• 5:30 to 7:30 pm
  
• An additional practice could be held on Thursday evening. 

Uniforms:

• Uniforms and Pom-poms will be provided by SPWAA. A gear deposit will be collected when uniforms are distributed. The gear deposit will be in the form of a check made out to SPWAA in the amount of $150.00**
  **Checks will be returned, at the end of season, given all gear is returned cleaned and unstained or damaged., by December 1, 2023.
  
• When in uniform, we ask that cheerleaders refrain from drinking any colored fluids to avoid risk of staining.

• Please note that additional items including bows, shoes, jacket and crop -top purchased at an additional charge at uniform fitting. Parents will be expected to provide black pants and white socks.

Refund Policy:

• Minimum $20.00 refund fee applies to all refunds, including Buyer’s Remorse, Injury, or otherwise.
• “Buyer’s Remorse” (“full”) refund within 48 hours of registration. Refund fee of $20.00 still applies. Request for “Buyer’s Remorse” refund MUST be made via email within 48 hours of registration. (All registrations and refund request emails are time and date stamped.) Request must be made via email to the Registrar.
• 50% refund is available until the first date of practice (August 1, 2023); refund request must be made via email to the Registrar.
  After August 1, 2023, there is NO refund for non-injury*.
• Injury refunds will be pro-rated after practices begin on August 1, 2023. Late registration fees are non-refundable. A doctor’s note on letterhead is required for all injury refund requests.
• All gear, uniforms, and equipment, etc. must be returned to SPWAA before any refund is issued.
