** 2019 CHEER CAMP**



The Silverdale Spartans are hosting a series of Cheer Camps that will be taking place on Saturday, March 30th, May 11th, and June 22nd from 10:00-2:30!!

Kids ages 4-14 are welcome to attend. The cost is $40 per camper or $110 if preregistered for all 3 camps before March 29th.

A Silverdale Spartan cheer camp T-shirt is included with pre-registration if you're registered and paid by March 19th. T-shirts are also available on a first come, first served basis after March 19th with on-site registration while supplies last.

Registration opens March 1st at www.silverdalepeewee.org. On-site registration is available the day of the events but will still require registration through the website from your mobile device with a credit card.

Campers will need to dress in clothing that is functional and easy to move in. Campers MUST wear athletic or cheer shoes that tie.  Campers will be learning a dance, cheers, tumbling, jumps and stunts!!! Please remember to bring a lunch (with child's name on bag) and water bottle. At the end of the camp participants will perform the learned material in a live showcase for parents and family!

** 2019 Football Cheer Season - General Information**

 

Silverdale recreational cheer supports the Spartan Football teams. The coaching staff prides itself in teaching confidence, accountability and teamwork while the cheerleaders learn the basics of cheerleading in a safe, planned progression to include: chants, cheers, jumps, stunting and dance.

We are looking forward to another great season of Spartan Cheer!!!

Registration runs annually, opening on May 1st!
Ages 5-14 on or before August 31, 2019
$145.00 per player

Regular registration: May 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019
Late registration: July 1st through July 31st - $10 late fee will apply

Registration fee is due, in full, at time of registration

Scholarships may be available – please see forms tab for application - applications must be submitted by June 1st.
Teams will be split based on age, skills and abilities; depending on final registration numbers.

Mandatory Parent Night and Uniform Fittings:

  • Uniform Fittings Tentatively-Friday, August 2nd after practice at 730 pm in Field house.  
  • MANDATORY Parent Night Meeting –July 31st at 7 pm at Ross field


Practices:

  • Start the first week in August (along with football)- August 1st at 5:30 pm-7:30 pm at Ross Field.
  • From August 1st until school starts: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 5:30-7:30 pm.  This is where we learn most of our cheers, stunts and dance. If they miss more than 3 practices during August they will not be able to perform during pep rally and/or first game.  This year there will be a process for non-commitment and missing practices.
  • Once games start practice will be reduced to Tues/Thurs nights at Ross Field.
  • NOTE: Cheerleaders should wear GYM shorts, a t-shirt, and TIE sneakers to practice. As it becomes colder, please dress your child APPROPRIATELY for the weather and/or according to the coach’s direction.  If they have long hair, IT MUST BE in a pony tail. If not in appropriate attire for practice, they will be asked to sit and watch as it becomes a safety hazard.

Uniforms:

  • Uniforms and Pom-poms will be provided by SPWAA. A gear deposit will be collected when uniforms are distributed.  The gear deposit will be in the form of a check made out to SPWAA in the amount of $150.00**
    **Checks will be returned, at the end of season, given all gear is returned cleaned and unstained.
  • When in uniform, please make sure the girls are ONLY drinking clear fluids to eliminate any staining.
  • Please note that additional items including:
    Bows, bloomers, turtlenecks, socks and sneakers will have to be purchased at an additional charge.

Refund Policy:

  • Minimum $15.00 refund fee applies to all refunds, including Buyer’s Remorse, Injury, or otherwise.
  • “Buyer’s Remorse” (“full”) refund within 48 hours of registration. Refund fee of $15.00 still applies. Request for “Buyer’s Remorse” refund MUST be made via email within 48 hours of registration. (All registrations and refund request emails are time and date stamped.) Request must be made via email to the Registrar.
  • 50% refund is available until the first date of practice (August 1, 2019); refund request must be made via email to the Registrar.
    After August 1, 2019, there is NO refund for non-injury*.
  • Injury refunds will be pro-rated after practices begin on August 1, 2019. Late registration fees are non-refundable. A doctor’s note on letterhead is required for all injury refund requests.
  • All gear, uniforms, and equipment, etc. must be returned to SPWAA before any refund is issued.

FULL PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE is required at the time of registration.
