2022 Spartan Cheer Registration

** 2022 Spartan Cheer Season - General Information**

Silverdale recreational cheer supports the Spartan Football teams. The cheer staff prides itself on teaching confidence, accountability and teamwork while the cheerleaders learn the fundamentals of cheerleading in a safe, planned progression to include: chants, cheers, jumps, stunting and dance. We welcome all athletes from Kitsap County to participate, there are no zoning guidelines for Spartan Cheer!

Registration runs annually, opening on May 16th!
Ages 5-14 on or before August 31, 2022
$160.00 per player May 16

Late registration: July 2, 2022- July 22, 2022 - $25 late fee will apply
*If you participate in late registration during the month of August, your child may not have the time needed to perform at the pep-rally. 

Registration fee is due, in full, at time of registration

Scholarships may be available – please see forms tab for application - applications must be submitted by June 1st.
Teams may be split based on age, skills and abilities, depending on final registration numbers.

Uniform Fittings:

Uniform Fittings: July 25, 2022 5-7 pm

During the uniform fitting parents will receive the Spartan Cheer Code of Conduct, Liability Waiver, Stunting Waiver, and Tumbling Waiver. These documents will need to be reviewed and signed by the parent meeting on August 1, 2022 at 5:00pm.

Mandatory Parent Meeting:

   • At this meeting we will review procedures for the season, safety guidelines for stunting and tumbling, as well as, potential game             schedule. 
   • Parents must turn in their signed Spartan Cheer Code of Conduct, Liability Waiver, Stunting waiver, and Tumbling Waiver that they         received at the uniform fitting, to the head coach.

  • Start the first week in August- August 1, 2022, 5:30-7:30pm (following the parent meeting).
  • From August 1st until school starts: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY 5:30-7:30 pm.  This is where we learn most of our cheers, stunts and dance. **If they miss more than 3 practices during August, they may not be able to perform during pep rally and/or first game.** 
  • **We understand families already have vacation plans, or other activities during the month of August. Please do not let this prevent you from registering. Reach out to the cheer AD to discuss details, this way we can plan accordingly how to work with your child in the time we do have with them. 
  • Once games start practice will be reduced to Monday and Wednesday nights 5:30-7:30pm at Ross Field.
  • Practice Attire, shall be shorts, properly fitted gym pants, t-shirt, socks and sneakers with proper soles. Long hair should be pulled back into a ponytail. No spaghetti strap shirts, visible midriffs, or excessively short shorts. Due to safety concerns the athlete cannot wear jewelry, chew gum, wear jeans, a skirt, flip-flops, or dress shoes to practices, games, and events. 
  • Practice starts promptly at 5:30pm. Athletes are expected to attend all practices each week in their entirety. If a cheerleader fails to attend at least one practice in any given week, it will be at the discretion of the coach as to whether the athlete will cheer at the upcoming game. Missing continuous practices, arriving late, or leaving early may result in removal from skill-based stunts and/or performances. 


  • Uniforms and Pom-poms will be provided by SPWAA. A gear deposit will be collected when uniforms are distributed. The gear deposit will be in the form of a check made out to SPWAA in the amount of $150.00**
    **Checks will be returned, at the end of season, given all gear is returned dry-cleaned and unstained or damaged.
  • When in uniform, we ask that cheerleaders refrain from drinking any colored fluids to avoid risk of staining.
  • Please note that additional items including: Bows, bloomers, turtlenecks, shoes, socks and a bag will have to be purchased at an additional charge.

Refund Policy:

  • Minimum $20.00 refund fee applies to all refunds, including Buyer’s Remorse, Injury, or otherwise.
  • “Buyer’s Remorse” (“full”) refund within 48 hours of registration. Refund fee of $20.00 still applies. Request for “Buyer’s Remorse” refund MUST be made via email within 48 hours of registration. (All registrations and refund request emails are time and date stamped.) Request must be made via email to the Registrar.
  • 50% refund is available until the first date of practice (August 1, 2022); refund request must be made via email to the Registrar.
    After August 1, 2022, there is NO refund for non-injury*.
  • Injury refunds will be pro-rated after practices begin on August 1, 2022. Late registration fees are non-refundable. A doctor’s note on letterhead is required for all injury refund requests.
  • All gear, uniforms, and equipment, etc. must be returned to SPWAA before any refund is issued.

FULL PAYMENT OF REGISTRATION FEE is required at the time of registration.
